Imagine a future where youre part of leading the development of innovative new offtake solutions for renewable energy projects in Europe
Join us in this role where youll be responsible for the development of new offtake solutions that support new renewable energy projects in our European markets. Youll be required to use your extensive knowledge of European energy markets to create and structure new solutions. Youll work with the PPA team to bring products to market, both leading negotiations on new products and supporting negotiations as part of a wider deal team.
Welcome to PPAs & Merchant Products
Youll be part of Merchant Product Development which is tasked with creating the next generation of offtake structures to manage our exposure to long-term power prices so we can continue to expand our portfolio of assets. Our job is to develop structures for execution in the coming years across our chosen European power markets. We develop products and product enhancements, owning the product lifecycle from ideation to full maturity, including negotiating with counterparties and killing unsuccessful ideas along the way.
Youll play an important role in:
creating and structuring new offtake solutions that build on our existing PPA structures to provide valuable hedges for our merchant assets in Europe.
utilising your market experience to develop physical solutions, identifying, and analysing the impacts of structures along the value chain from risk and asset management through to power operations
utilising existing market networks to bring new customer leads, both corporate and non-corporate
collaborating as part of a wider European team to co-create solutions and gain support from multiple stakeholders across the business
leading negotiations and supporting them as part of wider deal teams with the PPA Origination team.
To succeed in the role, you:
have extensive energy market experience and a track record in delivering on power purchase agreements and/or complex products in the energy space
preferably have some Dutch or German language skills
can demonstrate a proven track record of structuring new solutions
are able to manage the ambiguity of developing new products
are experienced in closing deals on your own and leading deals through both the external negotiation and internal approvals processes
are able to collaborate across a wide of range of internal and external stakeholders, and often virtually.
