What does the energy of the future look like? RWE Renewables Graduate Program is the career entry for qualified international graduates. As a Graduate you will collect in our 18-month program professional experience, bring your knowledge into projects and actively shape the energy turnaround with us.

Offshore Development Europe originates new Offshore projects in European markets and builds & maintains a pipeline of offshore projects consistent with the offshore growth strategy. Therefore, it participates in auctions for Offshore wind, proposes projects for the FID and receives all relevant permits and rights to construct projects. The function ensures attractive project economics deliverable projects that are ready for construction and supports development.

Your future plans

Gain a complete overview of the varied daily business and the company organization in the Renewables business and become an active part of the energy turnaround. Responsible tasks as well as national and international projects await you in the following possible fields of application:

  • Support analysis on the business case development, optioneering and optimisation of early stage offshore wind development projects &/or floating wind &/or green hydrogen projects
  • Evaluate an envelope of cases, determine trends, analyse trade-offs and identify most effective options
  • Learn to the identify strategic levers and implementing them into the project’s business case to increase the competitiveness and deliverability of the bid
  • Support each project with evaluating optimal wind farm concepts and optimization through economic analysis of design options

Your powerful skills

  • A successfully completed degree in the field of engineering, science, business or comparable field
  • Computational literacy including handling large data sets is mandatory. Proficiency in VBA modelling or similar would be advantageous
  • Basic understanding of the components of offshore wind assets
  • Appetite to take personal responsibility for driving own development & career growth
  • A flexible approach as some international travel and attending meetings outside home time zone can be expected
  • First relevant working experience in particular in the field of renewable energy
  • Passion for renewable energy and the desire to be an active part of the energy revolution
  • Fluent oral and written skills in English and German
