We are looking for an engineer for sensor and radar applications. Join us in developing cutting edge technology like the Gripen E fighter aircraft and GlobalEye airborne surveillance system.
Your role
The computation engineer is responsible for design, analysis, modelling, and simulation of innovative electromagnetic problems, e.g. antennas Performing electromagnetic simulations of antennas and microwave structures.
Important cases are installed performance, i.e. the performance of antennas when mounted on a platform.
The department works with developing antennas and microwave components. Your work will be to support the work and suggest improvements in the design.
Your profile
Master’s degree in an engineering discipline
2+ years of experience using EM simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, FEKO
Good knowledge in numerical methods for electromagnetics (Computational electromagnetics) or other field where numerical methods are commonly used
Time domain methods, e.g. Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD), Method of moments (MoM), Finite element method (FEM)
Knowledge of what limits accuracy in numerical methods.
Experience from large scale CEM is meriting
Mathematical skills and experience in post-processing of data and implementing algorithms for prototyping in e.g. Matlab or Python
Experience from antenna or microwave prototyping is meriting
Must be familiar with
Electromagnetic modelling/simulation tools, such as CST, HFSS, ADS, COMSOL Multiphysics, and
analytical tools such as MATLAB and similar
Good written and oral communication skills and an academic background, within a relevant field (Microwave Engineering, Electromagnetic Theory, Antenna Theory, Physics)
