Description

Would you like to contribute to the transition to a greener future? Does responsibility within design, construction, operation and development of offshore wind substations motivate you and would you like to have the whole world as your workplace? Then you might be the person we are looking for!

We offer
Semco Maritime is a dynamic and attractive workplace giving you freedom with responsibility and the opportunity to influence your work. We are convinced that our professionalism and our humour keep our team connected, helping us to create unique results.
The Renewables department has been specializing in offshore substations since 2004 and we deliver the absolute highest quality in the market thanks to a very skilled and dedicated team.

‘You will be a vital part of our technical team, having the ability to influence and innovate our current design whilst being part of developing our future competitive solutions for offshore substations. You will be working closely with your main stakeholders on HV, SCADA and mechanical systems to ensure we create a solution that makes a difference for the customer. I am proud that by delivering green energy to shore, Semco Maritime helps create a better world,” says Andreas Kjærnø, Manager Low Voltage Power, Offshore Wind.

Tasks
You will join our technical LV team which is part of our Renewables department. The team is carrying out design tasks and is the performing partner on the largest portfolio within offshore substations.
Your tasks will range from project development to supporting design in all project phases, including electrical design in connection with project execution, technical support, planning and review of sales material, technical solution proposals and price calculations. You will be responsible for managing interfaces with colleagues, external customers and subcontractors, and you will be in close dialogue with the Engineering department and the quotation and sales departments across the organization.

Semco Maritime is operating in Europe, Asia and the US, and you should expect to be involved in projects in most parts of the world.
You will be based in either Copenhagen or Esbjerg and should expect approx. 30 travel days a year.

Some of your tasks:
Dimensioning and preparation of specifications for LV systems such as switchboards, UPS/DC backup, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, heat tracing/cables and routing.
Responsible for the performance of quality control during factory testing at our subcontractors’ premises and for documentation following project completion.
Active participation at our sites in connection with installation, testing and commissioning.
Ensure that we receive technical requirements and load input from our internal and external stakeholders.
Active participation in our quotation process in collaboration with the quotation department, your team and other technical disciplines.
Prepare flow diagrams using Plant Engineering Software COMOS from Siemens Industry Software.

Your profile
You have a basic education as an electrician or similar and preferably 5-10 years of experience as an electrician/electrical engineer on major construction projects, industrial installations and/or ship installations. We expect you to have extensive technical insight and experience in the design, installation and commissioning of electrical systems for major construction projects and you want to use your experience and put it into practice. Experience from the offshore wind industry is considered an advantage.
You have high standards and prioritize quality, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Since we are a global company with foreign specialists in our department, we expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English.

Interested?
Please do not hesitate to contact Andreas Kjærnø, Manager Low Voltage Power, Offshore Wind, on phone number +45 5077 2541 if you have any questions.

We will call for interviews on an ongoing basis and look forward to receiving your application and CV.
