Nordic Unmanned is on the hunt for a new drone engineer!
We develop drones from scratch. We develop our own core technologies such as autopilot, control PCBs, drone frames, control systems, ground station etc. and compile these technologies into drone products for the industry. We are systems engineers, drone pilots, cybernetic engineers, product designers, mechanical engineers, project leaders. Our common goal is to create a dependable product, which the industry can trust. Working for us, you will get the chance to challenge your technical and interdisciplinary skills as well as your ability to organize and create structure between different fields of engineering.
You will become part of our R&D department where we develop and produce our drones. You will work directly with both our production department and our drone developers. The role is an interdisciplinary one requiring both good organizatorial skills as well as technical ones.
Technical skills we are looking for:
You have built a drone "from scratch" You understand how a drone works, mechanically, electrically and softwarewise You have experience in setup and configuration of autopilot electronics as well as software
Setup and configuration of Pixhawk hardware and software (Ardupilot or PX4) Calibration of accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometers Configuration of autopilots to handle sensor and other error modes
You know how to tune PID-loops for drones in a systematic way
Organizatorial skills which we require:
Good oral skills. Comfortable holding a presentation both in English and Norwegian. Precise and concise writing. You can explain technical and organizational challenges that arise in daily work in written form. Both Norwegian and English. Ability to design production processes and implement these in practice. You like to create order around you and your colleagues work.
It is a plus if:
You have relevant higher education. Earlier job experience with technology development. You have experience in programming simple electronics, eg. arduino or similar. You have a private or commercial pilot license. You have experience with Microsoft PowerApps.
