What we do

We are the Scania Global BI team - passioned to develop BI solutions for all processes and internal customers in Scania. We are a 40+ strong team developing solutions with on-site resources as well as with the help of our offshore team. Scania has a true strategy to be fully data-driven; the combination of being a world leading truck manufacturer and this vision makes our daily work extremely exciting.

Data management and ETL is a central component in making the vision real - to prepare data that can be consumed by our BI applications and users. We are therefore seeking a curious and experienced datawarehouse developer to join us.

What you will do

You will have the opportunity to work together with Scania's stakeholders to describe/implement information models into DW solutions. The work is flexible where you do both development of new solutions as well maintaining existing portfolio.

We work with data management in datawarehouse and Hadoop environments whereas Oracle database/ODI12 is your main technology stack. As we are in the exciting transition towards cloud solutions it would be great with such experience, otherwise you will be given the opportunity to learn.

What you have

Minimum 3 years’ experience with DW development and support

Experience building DW Solutions in Oracle Data Integrator

Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases

Dimensional modelling

DevOps - CI/CD environment experience

Hadoop competence, as data engineer or in support function

Fluent in English

BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

It would also be great if you have experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets as well as Hadoop eco system experience e.g. Hive, HBase, Impala, HDFS, Kafka, Airflow etc. Experience from BI tools (e.g. Qlik, PowerBI, is meriting).
