Building on our extensive oil & gas expertise, we are developing a strong position as a provider of offshore renewable energy solutions.Shape your journey onboard and offshore with usIn close cooperation with the sales team, and based on the market trends and customer requirements, this position will be responsible for leading the technical aspect of solution development, presentation and promotion as well as supporting the sales closing process. Ensure that MacGregor’s offering within the Offshore Wind market is innovative, corresponding to the clients requirements and financially feasible to deliver with an acceptable risk level.
Main tasks and responsibilities:Responsible for training and keeping the Offshore Wind Energy team informed of technical solutions relevant for the market segment
Presentation and verification with clients of the technical concept/solution
Keep up to date on technology and market developments and ensure innovative offerings.
Responsible for creating and maintaining the technical specifications to support the tender process.
Responsible for compliance to classification societies and other regulations in tender phase
Ensure workability of the solution and that the delivery process fits the customer timeframe.
Identify technical and financial risk
Transfer technical know how to business line’s engineering resources
Responsible to provide, in a timely manner, the technical specifications that enable sourcing to establish a detailed cost estimate for the project.
Proactively support market-, sales-, project execution- and after sales activities
Supporting R&D and Digitalization teams in innovating MacGregor’s portfolio
What you’ll need to succeed:BS/MS degree in engineering
Ten years of successful previous experience in product development and engineering
Excellent Knowledge of Offshore Wind market
Experience in developing solutions/products for Offshore Wind market or having hands on experience
Fluent in English, oral and written
Excellent knowledge of mechanical equipment design
Good knowledge of hydraulic and electric/software control of a system
Motivated and self-driven achiever
Cooperative team player
Client oriented
Able to deliver according to agreed timeframe and deadline
Able to present the company’s technical solution internally and externally
Detail oriented
Open minded to innovative solutions with ensuring safety, production efficiency and cost optimization
