Areas of responsibility
You will join our technical SCADA team located in our Renewables business area, where we have constructed one of the largest project portfolios within offshore substations in Northern Europe. Our Offshore Wind markets include Europe, Taiwan and the USA, which means that you can expect to be involved in projects worldwide.
You may choose between working from our head office in Esbjerg or from our Ballerup office in the greater Copenhagen area, whatever is the most convenient location for you.
The job will involve some travelling to other Semco Maritime offices, sub-suppliers and to sites.
You will join a team of highly specialized and motivated employees, working with delivering SCADA and Wind Power Plant solutions for our global construction projects together with your Engineering colleagues. You will be involved in the project from beginning to end, from the start-up phase with tender activities until the project is handed over to the end customer. You will be part of ensuring that all control project-related tasks are completed meeting our high-quality standards, in time and within project contracts.
Your key roles and responsibilities will include:
Project execution of substation automation projects in tender, specification, design, construction and commission phases and subsequently handover of project to client and O&M organization.
Knowledge or interest in PLC, protection relay and/or RTU, programming and configuration of substation automation systems.
Prepare technical documentation such as purchase specifications, cable lists, control descriptions, design briefs etc. for control related delivery in accordance with internal and contract requirements.
Knowledge or interest in working with common database engineering software solution (COMOS) for engineering of substations.
Participate in execution and sign-off of factory (FAT) and site (SAT) tests are carried out with customers, aligned and according to the overall project plan.
Participation in concept development, optimization and standardization of technical solutions.
Your profile
We expect you have a relevant technical education as bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineer, marine engineering or similar with experience in protection, control and/or communication systems. Experience from the offshore wind or related industries is an advantage, but not an ultimate requirement.
You have high standards and are eager for sharing your knowledge with the project team and department. Besides, you believe that success is only achieved through dedicated teamwork. We expect you to have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and possibly Danish, and you can work in a multi-cultural environment.
