We are looking for a Junior Load Engineer to work within our Business Area Wind, Offshore, Engineering.
The Engineering department is the technical know-how centre within Business Area Wind, setting the standards and guidelines as well as being embedded within our projects, both through the development and implementation phase as well as in operations.

The Loads department is focussed on providing wind turbine and substructure loads and load related services to the entire organization. It is the central point for all questions concerning loads for all windfarm elements and projects in all phases and especially for our future offshore windfarms.
Working within the Loads department in Offshore Engineering, the Junior Load Engineer is to support our in-house loads capability with specific focus on aeroelastic analysis.

Your main tasks and responsibilities as Junior Load Engineer:
As our Junior Load Engineer you will be responsible for delivering the centrepiece of the future offshore wind farm together with the existing team of Load Engineers. You will be in charge of producing load assessments for wind farm design and asset management. You will combine environmental and operational conditions into expected load levels to define the entirety of the lifetime of the offshore wind turbine.

Furthermore, the following main responsibilities will be a central part of your new job:Aeroelastic analysis of offshore wind turbines, from conceptual development to lifecycle management.Interpretation of design basis to create simulation combinations that represent the expected operational and non-operational situations of the OWTG during its lifetime.Execution of load simulations in a cloud-based environment.Interpretation of results and quality assurance.Generation of load reports for certification.Support improvement and development of methods for load estimation and prediction.Analysis of measurement data for application in development, design and asset management of wind turbines.
Your profile as Junior Load Engineer:A scientific or engineering degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) degree, technical discipline or equivalent .Experience in modelling offshore wind turbines.Knowledge and understanding of:
o Aeroelasticity & load simulations.
o Aerodynamics, structural dynamics, hydrodynamics, geotechnics.
o Control.
o Validation based on measurements.
o Software development.
o Data analysis and handling.
Your qualifications and personal skills as Junior Load Engineer:Strong technical and analytical abilities.Expertise in MatLab or Python and Microsoft Excel.Self-motivated and flexible approach to work, with initiative, a positive mindset, pragmatic and solution oriented.Technical and open-minded team player with a structured way of working.Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.Good interpersonal skills and innovative mindset, with the courage to act on your conviction.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
