We are looking for a SW engineer with several years of experience in SAP MDG to design and delivery SAP Data Management solutions for Master Data External Product area.
As a software engineer you are responsible for the entire software life cycle – design, development, test, release and maintenance and translates business needs into working software.
The MDG consultant will develop and deliver solutions that enable the collection, processing and management of information from one or more sources, and the subsequent delivery of information to support of key business processes.

Responsibilities
The primary tasks for the SW engineer in product area Data Foundation are:
Have a holistic view of how the solution adds value and ties into the defined business outcomes
Leading and Facilitating MDM requirements gathering across multiple domains such as Product, Customer and Financial objects
Utilize the master data management capabilities to simplify and automate business processes
Realize the maximum potential of MDG, Workflow Development, customizing approval workflows for parallel and multi-level approvals
Provide options for how the solution could be evolved to provide even more value
Translate product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable and scalable solution design according to existing architecture guard rails
Use an experimental mindset to identify, evaluate and recommend alternative design options which take target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems into account
Build the simplest possible solution that fulfils user needs as well as meets functional, compliance and quality requirements
Drive testing and deployment of software solutions, including ensuring automated testing to ensure solution quality
Build and operate infrastructure, toolset and deployment pipelines
Identify and share best practices with other teams as well as produce necessary documentation
Make sure to deliver solutions on time and identify and eliminate potential waste (e.g. unnecessary documentation, inefficient methodologies etc.)

Mandatory requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with SAP MDG Development.
Ability to Configuring SAP MDG solution as per functional specification
Understanding of SAP ECC and/or S4/Hana, machine learning etc.
Ability to train the users
Ability to perform early analysis including positioning of capabilities in the system landscape as well as presenting alternative solution options and technical choices
Ability to create database design and models used as part of the software solutions
Ability to comprehend the different architectural viewpoints and identify and understand their dependencies
Ability to design and build high-performing and secure software solutions according to the customer needs with given tools and languages
Ability to apply leading software development practices and standards to develop robust and maintainable software
Ability to code in functional programming languages and build distributed, scalable and resilient solutions
Ability to test and deploy software solutions, including ability to design and build advanced automated ‘build, test, and release’ infrastructure
Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineers in other Product or Enabling engineering teams to solve and reduce technical dependencies
