You will be an essential part of a dynamic and multicultural project organization on one of our upcoming Offshore wind projects in the USA, being responsible for the scope of the WTG Package covering design, documentation and manufacturing of our Wind Turbine Generators.The WTG Package Manager position offersA unique chance to be a key and core member of a big project team delivering large offshore wind turbine projects in the US marketLead and develop your WTG Project TeamA challenging and rewarding role that provides many opportunities for personal and professional developmentA global and dynamic working environment with multi-cultural teamsThe opportunity to develop and set new standards for the Offshore Wind IndustryAn opportunity to make things happenHow to contribute to our visionAs a WTG project manager, you will be responsible to:Ensure safe designs for all WTG modules are delivered complete and in timeEnsure all components are manufactured and delivered to site complete and in timeEnsure the WTG documentation package is complete and delivered in time with a focus on enabling safe installation and operation of the wind turbinesDrive outstanding safety culture for the WTG package team and as part of the project core teamManage a team of competent Engineering managers, Fabrication manager and Documentation manager among others to achieve excellent performance of the WTG packageManage all interfaces relating to the WTG scope, both with the customer, relevant authorities and internal and external stakeholdersEnsure execution of effective learning loops with other projects in the portfolio – both for sharing your own project’s learnings and for incorporating others’ learnings into your projectFor this position, we are looking for a candidate, who is ready to spend the first 1-1.5 years in one of our European offices to learn the role on the job with his/her WTG PM peers. Since customers will be located on the East coast of the US and critical internal interfaces in Europe, flexibility regarding working hours and a willingness to travel approx. 20-30% of the time are essential during this first phase.As project activities increase, you will relocate to Orlando/Florida to ensure proximity to the customer and the rest of the project team in the United States.What you need to make a differencePassion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. Ideally, you have experience from a project management environment with regards to design and manufacturing, e.g. as Engineering manager or Fabrication manager. Experience from the energy or wind power industry and a solid understanding of Engineering disciplines would be an advantage, as would be first-hand experience with US American business culture.You are systematic, thorough, and prefer to plan well in advance, while balancing requirements, risk, cost, and the timeline. You can communicate clearly and reach firm agreements with stakeholders. You are used to leading a team of qualified individuals and are capable to inspire confidence and a sense of pride and achievement into what you are accomplishing as a team.You are comfortable using a variety of IT systems to fulfill different aspects of your scope (e.g. design system, project documentation, cost management).
