Description
Job Purpose
To ensure that all operators, in particular wellboat operators, have the required equipment necessary for use with Benchmark Animal Health (BAH) products and have sufficient training to ensure correct and safe use of BAH products. This will include the procurement of relevant equipment and provision of training and subsequent audits of the treatment process. It will also include the provision of on-going trouble-shooting and support for operators when using BAH products.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with wellboat operators to provide trouble-shooting and on-going support during operations
Provide training and audit of new wellboats
Plan and lead the activities, alignment and effective communication between the wellboat operators and CleanTreat® operations team
Support the Technical Service Lead and the Technical Services team members in delivering the objectives for the Technical Services team
Constantly be looking for new opportunities to improve the efficiency of the overall business and feeding potential innovations through the relevant channels
Ensure that the workplace is safe for everyone; to report any breaches or potential breaches and to operate at all times in accordance with, Benchmark Animal Health’s and Benchmark Group Environmental, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Qualifications and experience
Experience in working with vessels/vessel operators, preferably to include experience with wellboats
Experience in providing EH&S training for pharmaceuticals/chemicals/technical operations onboard vessels
Engineering knowledge, particularly with regard to maritime vessels
Knowledge/interest in aquaculture/pharmaceutical industry
Desirable: (but full training will be provided)Sea survival trainingSea-going medical
Personal attributes/characteristics
Practical and logical with good problem solving skills
Organised and must be able to work well within time constraints
Work will involve some physical aspects so must be physically capable
Personable and able to work well and communicate with others of varying levels as well as work well independently
Good record keeping abilities
Flexible and willing to travel abroad
Norwegian speaking, fluent English (verbal and written) required
