Software project engineer – Wartsila automation system

We are currently looking for Software project engineer to strengthen our organisation within the field of Power and Energy management system.
Our preferred candidate must be both practical and analytic and like to have a combined theoretical and commercial approach to problem solving. You must be able to work independently as well as you must be a good team player. These positions require good communications skills, a customer mindset and good command of English. The location for these positions is Stord or Trondheim, Norway or Hamburg, Germany.
As a Software project engineer, your work will focus on:
Configure software in PLC and HMI systems
Testing of software by using simulator.
Prepare and make verifications of technical documents
Contribute to innovation and improvement of our products and systems
Participate in the design and engineering of Automation system
Participate in pre-study and offering phase in cooperation with Sales support
Participate and support during installation and commissioning
To be successful in this role we expect you to have:
Bachelor or master’s degree within the field of electrical engineering, power electronics and drives, robotic or similar
Experience with or knowledge of power programming control system
Experience with or knowledge of rotating electrical machines and energy storage systems
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
Working experience and knowledge of marine electrical power systems is preferable
