We are now looking for a Specialist in optimization, simulation and to join our team to strengthen our organization within the field of digitalisation and decarbonisation. The preferred location for the position is Stord or Trondheim, Norway or Hamburg, Germany.
What will you be doing
In this position, your work will include analysing big data. You will be working in teams together with subject’s mater experts. For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in of machine learning and experience from working with analytic tools such as Python. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from product development and knowledge of the marine industry. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you have proactive mindset and like to challenge status-quo.
As Specialist optimization simulation and design , your work will focus on these responsibilities:
Key Role in innovation and future designs
Participate in the design and engineering of Energy management system
Develop simulation models for electric marine power and propulsions systems
Design software tool for process optimization
Provide process analysis based on performance data (new data, information, or process changes) Prepare and make verifications of technical documents
Documentation of simulation results and suggestions for design improvment.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
Bachelor or master’s degree within the field of electrical engineering, power electronics, and drives, Robotic or similar
Experience in modelling and simulation (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink)
Experience with or knowledge developing custom software (e.g., Python, C++)
Experience with or familiarity with PLC and SCADA systems.
Basic understanding of electric marine power and propulsions systems
Working experience and knowledge of marine Power and Energy management systems is preferable
Great communication skills, a customer mindset, and good command of English
You will shine in this role, if you will be both practical and analytic and like to have a combined theoretical and commercial approach to problem-solving. We are looking for colleague who can work independently as well as to be a good team player.
