Terma has the radar solutions for this, but we now need another sales manager to engage with our existing and new customers.

We have delivered and installed thousands of radar sensor systems worldwide since the early 1990s, and we are the market-leading supplier of port Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) radar sensors, with our solutions applied in 14 of the world’s 15 largest ports.
The job
For our Security Sales department, we are looking for a new sales manager to cover our radar solutions in the Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) and Coastal Surveillance Systems (CSS) application areas, primarily for our market in Europe, but also overseas. VTS and CSS are two of our most successful radar applications in a region where Terma is the market leader and sets the standard. Resulting in a high activity level with many business opportunities, that we continuously pursue. This means that the work environment is dynamic and characterized by multiple parallel projects, short deadlines and many potential wins.
We are looking for a sales profile with the ability to both guard our name as a high-quality brand and to support growth by developing the pipeline through close interaction with system integrators and end-users.
Your responsibilities
In close collaboration with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the VTS and CSS market in Europe. Your main responsibility is to seize every business opportunity to keep winning the market in Europe by developing and maintaining strong relationships with potential customers and relevant stakeholders such as port authorities, navies, coast guards and system integrators. More specifically your responsibilities are:
Arrange and execute customer meetings
Respond to public tenders and prepare commercial and technical proposals – supported by Product and Proposal Management
Negotiate contracts – supported by Contract Management
General market development such as participation in industry exhibitions and seminars
General sales administration such as keeping CRM updated, conducting monthly proposal reviews and monthly status reporting
Your profile
The ideal profile holds a combination of commercial skills, technical understanding and market interest. You must have strong people skills, be proactive towards new business opportunities, have excellent communication and presentations skills and be a good negotiator. You will be working with sales, but in a technically complex area, where you have to be the expert towards our customers, and therefore we expect you to have a technical insight that enables you to understand our products. Furthermore, we are looking for a candidate with:
Experience from technical project sales
Experience from working internationally
Fluent in English (written and verbally)

The position is based at our headquarters in Lystrup, Aarhus. You can expect approximately 50-75 travel days per year, primarily to Europe, but occasionally also to South America and Africa.

Bear in mind that candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance by the Danish Defence Intelligence Service. This entails that candidates, as a minimum, have stayed within NATO/EU for the last 7 years only interrupted by short stays abroad.
