Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global Supply Chain & Transport > Global Transport
Transport Equipment Operations is a newly established global function, responsible for handling of Transport Equipment Returns in close collaboration with our Regions and Strategic Transport Partners. We are responsible for Transport Equipment control center and Operating Model enabling the most optimal transport execution and timely delivery to our customers, while driving the cost-outs and quality in operations.
The main responsibilities and tasks related to this position are divided into three key areas: 1) Transport Equipment Operating Model Development & Implementation; 2) Operational Planning Management, and 3) Supplier & Partnership Management.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement centralized end-to-end Transport Equipment operations processes (forecasting, demand & capacity planning, master scheduling, order management etc.)
Global planning of Transport Equipment returns, running forecasting, demand & capacity planning, master scheduling processes
Ensure end-to-end visibility in the return loop of Transport Equipment from construction sites, ports, railheads back to manufacturing and suppliers’ sites
In charge of securing global overview across all execution covering operational scorecard view on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost into established governance structures (monthly SOA, performance reviews etc.)
Facilitate weekly planning alignment meetings with stakeholders across the value chain (including customs) and transport strategic partners
Responsible for consolidated input to Global Procurement to enable Master Rate Sheet setup with key strategic partners
Provide input to global risk management process, and apply mitigations in alignment with key stakeholders
Qualifications
Must hold a solid educational background with experience within relevant areas (e.g., Logistics and Supply Chain Management)
Experience within the Wind Industry or LSP
Experience/competencies within key account management and partnership management would be beneficial
Experience in process, tools, and systems development & implementation in large international organizations

Should have a proactive mindset with the ability to problem-solve and navigate in a complex environment
Good stakeholder management skills
Established communication skills at all levels in the organizations
Ability to prioritize tasks and make confident decisions
Fluent verbal and written English skills

Additional information
Your work location will be at Vestas office at Aarhus, DK. Other locations will be considered such as Germany, Spain etc. Up to 20 travel days/year is expected.
