In this role, you'll be providing eLearning instructional expertise and recommendations to develop and support creative, innovative and scalable content for online delivery including participant orientation, questions, support, tech challenges and content organization.
As a Training Manager, you will be assisting PMM (Product Management and Marketing) and After Sales Service by providing relevant commercial and technical training via eLearning, class training and blended training. You will be responsible for managing our Training Academy (user accounts, guest log-ins, training module assignment, repeat training invitations, reports). This easy eLearning platform allows you to set up, develop and produce your own eLearning and online courses which will fit the needs of our customers and partners. You will also be ensuring cooperation with IT regarding developing & utilizing portal features, troubleshooting, integration to Dynamics 365, etc.
You'll be creating new training for our land and maritime markets pertaining to tracker antenna installations, troubleshooting and maintenance. You'll also actively contribute to creating a blended learning structure for our new maritime VSAT and radio products.
As our Training Manager, you will be part of an overarching team consisting of 20 Product Specialists. This position is based in Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark, but could potentially be based out of our office in Concord, California.
As a Training Manager, your key responsibilities will be:
Responsible for design and implementation of our eLearning opportunities by developing material, coordinating, and reviewing educational content, and incorporating current technology in developing specific eLearning curricula.Gathering product information from Product Specialists, internal departments, and other SMEs (subject matter experts).Supporting the deployment of learning programs including uploading and updating courseware and curricula, training assignments, learner notification text and rules into our Learning Management System (Conzentrate).Utilizing knowledge of LMS capabilities to recommend delivery strategies that yield a rich, meaningful, and dynamic end-user experience.Assisting in producing and proofreading training material for Training Academy eLearning as well as material for class, onsite as well as hands-on and/or workshop training.Planning new training sessions, including defining learning goals, etc., together with PMs, Tech Support Product Specialists and other relevant stakeholders.Performing training sessions – internal as well as external – as well as conducting train-the-trainer training.As a Training Manager, your qualifications should ideally be:
A Bachelor’s degree or Technician's degree in electronics or equivalent experience in technical training, adult education, and/or multimedia training materials. Minimum 3 years' experience from an area of instructional technology, eLearning design and implementation or related field.Development of online courses in a learning management setting.Proven experience authoring and expertise in using LMS tools.Proficient in adult learning theory, facilitation and instructional design theory needed to modify instructional materials and ensure effective delivery.Ability to solve technical problems independently or in teams.Willingness to travel when required, up to 25-30 days per year.Must have very strong writing, editing skills and oral communication in English.Have the ability to write technical material as well as the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students.Proactive in making recommendations to the business.Ability to think creatively and come up with new ideas in the most effective way.Ability to work with technical and management personnel across a variety of businesses.We offer:
