The Role, Objectives and Responsibilities
As a Test & Verification Engineer at Ovzon you will be involved in development projects, to define test plans and test procedures to secure that our products fulfil stated requirements and quality standards. This role includes development of automated test systems to verify RF performance, power management and communication interfaces. Implementation of test procedures, test systems, and calibration routines are also included in the role. You will work both with in-house development and with external partners in the area of test and verification.
The person we are looking for shall have the ability to define and set up automated test systems, handle test data and evaluate test results. We expect the person to have the knowledge and drive to build up and maintain our test environment.
Job Duties
Troubleshooting and handling of customer returns
Provide support and training to our customers
Keep record of repaired units’ faulty parts
Provide data and statistics of returned products
Handle spare parts, inventory levels and ordering
Responsible for our test lab, handling of inventories
The role involves
Requirements handling and test requirements, test cases
Implementing automated test system for RF communication
Communication with development and manufacturing partners
Continuous integration and test automation (LabView, Matlab, C++)
Securing the performance and accuracy of test systems, including calibration procedures
Handling of test results
Skills and Qualifications
Hands-on experience from working with testing and development (5+ years); with a University degree (MSc or equivalent) in computer engineering, computer science, electronics, physics, or similar. Experience with test systems and instruments for RF communication (spectrum analyzers, signal generators and network analyzers) and to set-up an environment for automated testing. Must be familiar with test procedures for RF Communication from the satellite or mobile phone industry (5G, Wi-Fi, GPS).
