Cobham SATCOM is recruiting for a Test Development Engineer to design, develop and implement production test equipment. We are looking for an experienced LabVIEW & TestStand Test Engineer who will be responsible for developing, debugging, integrating, and verifying test programs for new test sets being developed in support of testing antennas, land mobiles, HF products, etc., for maritime and land. You will be serving as an active R&D member of product development teams with the responsibility of ensuring development and design of final test sequences. This includes working with our design team and product test engineers to establish built-in test functions, test interface requirements and diagnostic features. You will be conceiving and developing flexible test hardware and software using LabVIEW, TestStand and Python. Reporting into our Director Global Test Development, R&D Management Team, you will be joining a team of 11 who are based in Pandrup and Lyngby.
This role can be based in either Pandrup, just outside Aalborg or in Lyngby by Copenhagen.
As a Test Development Engineer, your key skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Having been trained as an Electronics Technician or having equivalent industry or educational experience.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar job from the electronics industry.
Experience in LabVIEW, SPC systems, TestStand, and Python.
Knowledge of label printing software (like Bartender).
Knowledge of network constellations, routing and IT rights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Danish.
Experience in both hardware and software testing.
Production environment experience.
As a Test Development Engineer, your main responsibilities will involve:
Analysing Test Requirement Documents (TRDs), giving feedback, scoping test solutions.
Designing and developing test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services.
Participate in projects both as a project member and team member, contribute to team spirit.
Realize project needs and take actions if needed, suggestions, impacts.
Developing new standards and innovative solutions, adding test framework values.
Perform engineering level product debug.
Propose and manage test development projects, upgrades and maintenance.
Track, report on testing, debug, and engineering task status.
Ensure that the yield parameters are correct.
