We are currently looking for a new member to the Nacelle Back-End analysis team within the Offshore Technology unit placed in Brande, DK. The Back-End department is responsible or design and verification of structural capacity of the Back-End for the next generation wind turbines. The Back-End analysis team consist of 9 highly skilled FEA engineers, who do calculations on everything in the Back-End, from stairs and platforms (Secondary structures) to casted components, Yaw drive, composite canopy, cooling tower and much more.
How to contribute to our vision
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Test and Validation Engineer for implementing and optimizing technological concepts concerning systems and / or solutions.
Job tasks include, but are not limited to:
Validation of calculation methods
Assist with test of backend Nacelle Modules
Quality tests, studies, improvements, cost-efficiency
Creating validation plans for various projects
Full method evaluation
"Detective work" - How did we do calculations in prior projects, allowing us to benchmark and optimize
You have a high professional competency and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong enjoy improvement of calculation methods.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…
An individual with a master's in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering or similar. It is a big plus, if you have a Ph.D. or research assistant experience in a relevant field. You have a strong technical mindset and enjoy working analytically with your tasks. As a person, you are an outgoing communicative individual who values collaboration.
Furthermore, you have:
3+ years of experience with test and validation
Experience with fatigue calculations
Experience in post-processing of data
Knowledge of MATLAB is an advantage
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office
Fluent in English, both orally and in writing
