We are looking for our next Team Lead to join our Tooling Design Offshore department at the Service organization. The Service business consist of several departments with focus on both, design and development, documentation, value engineering and certification.
The department of Tooling Design Offshore deals mainly with Design and Development and is responsible for all the development of special tooling solutions to component exchanges concepts in all Turbines under Offshore Service etc. The department consists of several teams with expertise within different areas such as, CAD engineering, FEA engineering. The department consists of highly skilled and experienced employees located both in Denmark/Europa and India.

As our Team Lead of Tooling Design Offshore, you provide leadership, you will hold the managerial responsibility for all employees in the team. Your main task is to support the team members in their daily work, while building upon their competences. Further, you have a development mindset and continuously seek to improve the capabilities of the team in how to work and what to do. Your responsibilities will among others cover:
Management of organization department assigned
Responsible for setting, communicating and executing initiatives to meet Services goals ·
Full life cycle engineering responsibility of Special Tools & Equipment
Focus on both new product development, research and optimize
You will work closely with peers and other stakeholders within Offshore Tooling Platform, suppliers and SG organization, and hence you need to have a good understanding of the value chain and be excellent in communication.
It is important that you have a holistic view and are ready to actively involve yourself on own initiative to support in scoping, problem-solving and executing in the different projects that are being executed. Thus, technical topic knowledge is required. In your day to day, you will be working closely with team members, on all levels in the Service organizations to align and plan the introduction of technologies in the products.
You will also be responsible for executing relevant HR processes for the team mostly in terms of the yearly performance management process, hiring, and development of your team and its members. More direct administrative tasks like travel expense approvals and budgeting are only minimal.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
We are looking for person who is an engineering manager and that leads by example. You have a technical background and knowledge of wind turbine, design and production.
You hold a Degree in mechanical engineering, Marine Engineering or qualified technician with professional experience with 3-5+ years of professional experience. You have solid understanding of NX & TC and FEM. You have working experience in a technical engineering organization doing Design/engineering development, product development and support.
Furthermore, you have the following characteristics:
Successful track record with people management and leadership
Experience in technical coaching
Living and/or working experience in an intercultural environment and readiness to travel
Structured and organized and able to lead change
Outgoing, determined, and persistent with strong communication and collaboration skills
Motivated by making things happen and at the same time shaping the strategy and direction of the future
Excellent English skills both orally and in writing are a must in the international team, and it is of highest importance that you can communicate your results in a clear and convincing manner. Danish is not required but considered a plus.
Furthermore, you have a structured approach to your work, can handle multiple assignments simultaneously without losing overview and you are driving your work independently.
