Position Summary
Orca is one of our main energy storage systems and the most widely deployed product at Corvus Energy. Reporting to the Technical Product Lead, this exciting position as Systems Engineer is responsible for system-level architecture, detailed technical specification, analysis, troubleshooting and providing technical guidance for the sustaining engineering, manufacturing, and service teams. Main responsibilities:Hands-on troubleshooting of systems/modules/circuit boards
Interface with the Manufacturing and Service team to investigate field failures via data collection and analysis leading to the root cause, incl. creation of test jigs as needed to support these investigationsManagement and communication of technical risks & reportingMaintenance, creation, and ownership of technical documentationOwnership and maintenance of system and subsystem requirements and interfacesContribute to the development of the core BMS algorithms for SOC, SOH, etc., design content for firmware upgrades (the pseudo-code), and verify the algorithms through testing and analysisConduct technical reviews, including DFMEA, risk assessments, and review of validation results
Qualifications and skills we are looking for:Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with preferably 6+ years of relevant experienceDemonstrated Electrical/electronics troubleshooting experienceStrong documentation and reporting skills, with high attention to detailSelf-starter, with creative approach to problem-solvingWork experience with high voltage/high current DC products.Aptitudes with test equipment including oscilloscope, power supplies, data loggers, DC loads and hi-pot testersAble to read electrical and electronics schematics as well as mechanical drawingsAbility to handle multiple tasks and effectively prioritizeStrong written and verbal communication skills
