In Semco Maritime we are committed to the green energy transition ensuring our Oil & Gas activities are conducted in a sustainable matter while still needed and investing in our renewable’s activities across the globe. As our new Sustainability Manager, you will contribute with your expert knowledge in projects across our organisation and ensure we move in the right sustainable direction.
You will report to the SVP, People, HSEQ & Marketing and in close collaboration with the SVP and the divisions you make sure Semco Maritime is best in class regarding sustainability matters. You will be in daily contact with a broad range of stakeholders and experience how sustainability plays an integrated part of reaching our strategic ambitions aiming at carbon neutrality for scope 1 and 2 in 2023, neutrality for own operations in 2030 and for scope 1-3 in 2050.Your role & responsibilities
Head up the implementation of the new sustainability strategy in Semco MaritimeYou will be responsible for the sustainability reporting strategy including ESG questionnaires, annual reports, and external and internal communication in relation to strategy, targets and performance on Sustainability
Develop materials for updates to Management Team and Board of Directors
Together with stakeholders you secure development, implementation, and communication of the operational environmental activities globally (including supporting enquiries and documentation related to sustainability)
Recognize industry best practice in terms of sustainable solutions and support driving operational improvements across the different divisions and functions to improve sustainability and integrate a world class sustainable culture.
Your success criteria’s
To deliver on business objects and personal KPIs.
To be the driving force in implementation of sustainable activities across Semco Maritime.
To secure the organization are onboarded into the strategy.
To secure we in Semco Maritime live up to our commitments set in the strategy.
To ensure open information and communication across organization/departments including communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders.
To manage internal and external stakeholders and collaborate with them in a proactive and constructive way. Establishing a great relationship with the Senior Management Team (SMT), Procurement & Sales/Tender teams, key stakeholders, and the rest of Semco Maritime organization
Competencies required
You have significant professional insight in an international sustainability function from a similar international role.
You have solid experience working with sustainability strategy implementation and strong competence and proven track record in all aspects within sustainability.
As a person you have a strategic mindset and the ability to combine this with at high executing focus, and you possess the ability to understand complex details.
You are analytical and work systematically and in a structured way.
You have strong communication and change management skills in all levels of the organization, and you are self-driven.
Further qualification highlights
Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferably you have relevant industry experience from the energy sector
You have an MSc in Economics BSc/MSc or Engineering, e.g., Mechanical / Production / Risk / Sustainability discipline
Finally, you are comfortable with written and oral presentations in English, conducting interviews, facilitating workshops, and presenting analysis findings and recommendations to all levels of an organization.

The position is located at our HQ in Esbjerg, Denmark and involves around 20 days of travelling annually.
