Vattenfall is one of Europe´s largest electricity generators and producers of heat. We operate in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map aiming at achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

We are looking for a Supervisor for Main Component Exchanges Projects within our Project Manager team, in our Business Area Wind, a part of the Vattenfall Organization.

The Supervisor for Main Component Exchanges Projects works for the MCE Project Manager with the objective to on site lead and supervise the works of main component exchanges projects of varying complexity and size and ensure a safe delivery within quality, time and budget.

Key responsibilities

As Supervisor for Main Component Exchanges Projects you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Manage the project organization on site acting on behalf of MCE project manager.

• Responsible for execute on site according to plan in accordance with MCE project manager.

• Ensure project delivery is within quality, scope, and time, always with safety as first priority.

• Be present on site during the execution securing the best interest of Vattenfall.

• Continuously seek improvements and coordinate with MCE project manager.

• Ensure continuous development of processes on site, and development of procedures with MCE project manager.

• Capture lessons learned and feedback from passed projects, carefully select and ensure these are feed back into the organization.

Key deliverables/activities

As Supervisor for Main Component Exchanges Projects you will have the following key deliverables/activities:

• Handling of project personnel on site for MCE projects.

• On site execution of MCE projects.

• Pro-actively work to improve our best practice and optimize the performance from project to project.

• Take role as Client rep on site.

• Support and offload the MCE project manager during high peak work load.

Organization

You and team members from Integrated Operations, other departments and the site will form the team for the different MCE projects.

Working conditions

Be ready to travel, stay and work out on sites offshore for 100-150 days per year.

Qualifications

Our best candidate has a technical education with relevant industry knowledge and minimum 10 years’ experience within the wind industry.

Preferably have you experience and knowledge from installation, maintenance and repair of gearboxes, main bearings, generators and blades. A plus is if you have worked as lead technician and have experience of leading and educating other technicians and experience and knowledge from fault finding and trouble shooting.

Your command in English is strong, both verbally and written.

As a person you are structured, independent, and result oriented. You have superior interpersonal skills and are a natural leader. You are a team player who actively engages people by asking, sharing, helping or asking for help. You are also pro-active, transparent, performance and result oriented. Sound communication skills and ability to travel is a must.

And you have a flexible attitude with regards to tasks, work hours and travelling as this is a necessity for the position.
