Description

We are looking for a Student Assistant to come and work in Vattenfall’s Danish Offshore Wind team, to assist the Stakeholder Manager during the development, construction and operational phases of our Danish offshore wind projects. The role will be mainly based in Vattenfall’s Kolding office but with flexibility including working from home. This position will be a great opportunity for someone who is interested in offshore wind and the renewable energy sector to get some first-hand experience.

This role will require effective communication with relevant stakeholders, and the wider project team, and so it is expected that the applicant will be fluent in Danish and English.

As this role will be open to students only it is expected that a successful candidate would be able to work 10 – 15 hours per week.

Vattenfall is one of Europe’s largest electricity generators and producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

This ambition includes for example electrification of the transport sector and CO2-emitting industries, but the core in this ambition is to have sustainable electricity production. Your responsibilities as a Student Assistant, DK Offshore Wind:Support with the running and maintenance of Vattenfall’s stakeholder webpage where co-ownership is advertised and appliedTrack relevant stakeholder media coverage of Vattenfall’s offshore wind farms.Promote stakeholder events and relevant updates to the internal Vattenfall team via internal communications packages e.g. yammer, teams,…Provide support and assistance to the Danish Stakeholder Manager on all relevant offshore wind projects. Depending on the project this could include:
o Monthly reporting to the project team
o Join public events
o Prepare slides to external and internal meetings
o Make notes of minutes
o Dialogue with co-owners and other stakeholdersWork together with the different project packages during the development, construction and possible operation of the wind farm, as well as with our Health and Safety, Environment and Sustainability and Communication teams, and so good co-operation with your Vattenfall colleagues will be essential.You will be required to promote a safety-conscious and sustainable environment.

Your qualifications as a student assistant, DK Offshore Wind:
Candidates should have:Be currently studying for an undergraduate or postgraduate course preferably in communication, media relations or something similarBe interested in offshore wind and renewable energyHave drive and ambitionExcellent verbal and written communication skills (Danish and English)A wish to work in a (international) multi-disciplinary team
Social and empathetic skillsInterested in stakeholder and media relationsExcellent computer skills, including full Microsoft package (word, excel, sharepoint etc.)
