Norsepower, which offers solutions for reducing the environmental impact of shipping, is looking for an experienced Sourcing Director in Helsinki.

Norsepower's Rotor Sail Solution harnesses the wind to maximize ship fuel efficiency and it is the first commercially available auxiliary wind propulsion solution with a proven track record of successful operation since 2014. Norsepower project services cover all phases from the case study preparation to the Rotor Sail Solution delivery.

Norsepower is growing fast and now they need a Sourcing Director to focus on all of their procurement activities. Your main responsibility is to develop sourcing strategies, search partners, negotiate contracts and take care of the supply chain. You will be responsible for procurement, classifications, and suppliers. A big part of the job is finding the right suppliers and making frame agreements for the most critical and important components. These are major components and acquisitions, so your work is very significant to the success of the entire business. Everything you do is driven by cost and quality targets and the desire to find the best partners for Norsepower.

You might be the person we are looking for if you have strong experience in strategic sourcing. Good communication skills are needed because you are going to negotiate with different partners and potential partners. You are always eager to learn new and develop yourself and you enjoy working in a growing company. Above all, Norsepower values a hands-on attitude and readiness to travel around the world!
