Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieving climate neutrality by 2050.We are looking for a Software Developer to support new wind projects and daily operation of the Wind power data center to secure that Vattenfall Wind Power gain competitive advantages in operation of existing wind turbines, project development, implementation and operation of future wind farms.As one of the key functions in Vattenfall’s Wind business the Competence Area “SCADA Applications” is responsible for the development and operation of software applications, tools and services for providing operational data to the organization, dashboarding, reporting and control of wind farms as well as power trading. You will be part of a dedicated team which consists of 6 Software Developers.Your responsibilities as Software Developer will be bridging between the Wind business processes and supporting SCADA/IT solutions which is based on the translation of functional requirements into the design of appropriate technical tools and services. In addition, you will be actively involved in the implementation and the maintenance of our back-end services.Your qualifications as Software Developer:Technical background:Master of Science in Information Technology and documented experience +5 yearsProgramming experience in C# is required – Phyton is an advantageBack-end development skillsKnowledge about SQL / relational database, real time database systemsFamiliarized with Wind Power supplier SCADA system is an advantage – but not a mustKnowledge about network and virtual environment is an advantageExperience with Project Management of IT/SW projects is an advantageBusiness experiences and personal capabilities:You are a true team player who possess strategic skillsYou Have a strong drive, business acumen and performance orientationYou are comfortable with a changing environment and an international perspectiveYou have good knowledge of operational processes and stakeholder management from bigger organizationsAs we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.
