Across a vast array of drilling riser systems, well abandonment equipment and structures, Claxton delivers pragmatic, safe reliable solutions to the operating challenges faced by our clients. We have a Global team with a singular mission, to make our clients projects happen.

Claxton are looking to hire a driven & self-motivated Service Technician, knowledgeable in written and spoken Norwegian and English to join our offshore team where Techs are on call for 5 weeks followed by 3 weeks off. The company is based in Forus, Stavanger and this is a full-time, permanent role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for running Claxton's tools and services offshore to exacting requirements and have either a degree or some mechanical/engineering qualifications/training or be able to demonstrate proven technical abilities through 3 - 5 years' applicable work experience. Having an understanding of quality assurance procedures and factory acceptance testing is desirable along with experience of working offshore within an engineering discipline or in a business with similar products would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and driven to provide a professional service at all times, be reliable and committed with a positive attitude. Having a desire to learn and develop own knowledge & experience is a must.

Duties and responsibilities will include working offshore, either alone or as part of a work crew in line with project programme to run the Claxton tool operation in accordance with the procedures.

Provide engineering support in the workshop to prepare Claxton's own and client equipment also service and maintain Claxton's and clients' own equipment, as per ISO9001 standard and Claxton procedures.

Check programmes/drawings prior to the start of the job to ensure correct tool allocation; ensure project load-outs are completed smoothly; prepare spares, consumables and hand tool, as per operations manual procedures and prepare offshore paperwork/documentation as per administration pack guidelines and company procedures.

HSE & Quality Assurance expectations of candidates will be to fully comply with the QHSE management system requirements and behaviours and all tasks that ae carried out are in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures in line with ISO9001.
