Job Description
Your contribution

As a Service Engineer, you are a vital player in maintaining FLIR's world-leading thermal imaging infrared technology position on the market. You will be a part of The Service department comprised of technical professionals and customer support. Your focus is post-sale support for cameras mainly for maritime usage, often mounted on ships and boats. You are a highly visible customer support and work with installations, conduct product trainings, and general post-sales support activities. Your job is mostly spent on our FLIR site and involves repairs of complex camera electronics and mechanical equipment, overseeing diagnoses, troubleshooting, and service. Since you are working close to our customers, you need excellent social skills to provide superior customer service. We work continuously with improvements. The job in plain language
Conduct high-level repair, diagnosis, service, support, and upgrades to primarily thermal maritime products
Under limited supervision, occasionally visit customer and operator sites to carry out field analysis and repairs
Analyze product failure and recommend and implement solutions to enhance product reliability
Ad hoc job duties as required/needed in support of overall business needs in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, etc
Liaison with customers to keep them informed of the progress of returned equipment
Use of our Business software system (SAP) to determine repair and maintenance costs and provision of information to allow service quotations to be raised
The role will be based in Täby, Sweden

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have
Excellent customer service attributes
Strong mechanical and electrical background to have the ability to problem-solve/troubleshoot complex electronic systems
Experience in technical support or engineering environment is a plus
Full professional level in English and Swedish is a must
Driver's license
