Join us in this role where you’ll play an active part in driving the performance of our trading activities in the UK power and cross-commodity markets.
Welcome to Market Trading
You’ll be part of the UK Power & Cross Commodity (UKPX) desk, where you, together with your colleagues, will be trading and managing exposure in the European power markets.
You’ll play an important role in:
delivering strong trading results in the UKPX
trading in UK power and the wider energy market, European gas and power markets, and CO2 markets
developing creative and effective hedging strategies for our renewable assets and becoming an expert in the new markets added to the portfolio
improving strategies through analysis, prototyping, and collaboration with developers and the analytical support team
devising and executing option strategies and developing models and analytical tools to capture exposure and increase profitability for our option portfolio.
To succeed in the role, you’ll:
have proven experience in trading and demonstrated skills in risk management and position-taking
have a strong foundation in option theory covering standard plain vanilla products as well as experience within non-standard and structured products
enjoy sharing your expertise with your colleagues, taking responsibility, and collaborating across desks in an international work environment
comply with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
