The Role:

Job Title: Senior Measurement Engineer

BU - Operations Engineering

Industry: Wind Turbines

Description:Co-ordinates the design, installation and commissioning of offshore load and other measurement campaigns
Responsibilities

Support the team of Measurement Engineers with tasks across running projects
Support on specification, installation/commissioning and maintenance of load measurement equipment
Ensure that the projects are on time and that deliveries and quality are within the agreed scope
Comply with company guidelines and standards in force, i.e. processes, as well as contractually accepted specifications
Participate actively in project team and ensure coordination between subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Review project results, including external deliveries from contractors
Comply with HSE regulations at all times

Tasks

Assist in writing up employer requirements to our contractors based on the need of stakeholders across our organisation
be in close contact with in-house stakeholders and pro-actively identify campaign requirements from in-house customers
manage contractors during the installation, commissioning and operational phases, including coordination with the local site HSE organisation
engage with contractors to ensure top of class quality on solutions and installed equipment
Install maintain and troubleshoot on measurement equipment as needed on-/offshore
ensure quality of data recorded at the measurement equipment
review project results, including external deliveries and documentation from contractors
work with internal and external team members in designing and implementing measurement campaigns at our offshore wind farms

Deliverables

▪ Provide Meta Data to measurements monitoring system

▪ QA of supplier as-built documentation

▪ Provide lessons learned projects

▪ Facilitate lessons learned sessions

▪ Budget follow up in liaison with Measurement Manager/Measurement Engineer

▪ Risk Assessment & Method Statement - RAMS - as needed for tasks on site

Requirements:Skills Required

have a relevant technical education within marine- or mechanical engineering or similar backed by a practical hands-on approach
Thorough knowledge and experience with load measurement equipment such as strain gauges, inclinometers and accelerometers
speak and write English fluently
are open-minded and thrive working with stakeholders across areas of expertise
are comfortable working autonomously and together with your business partners
have the ability to find pragmatic solutions as well as the ability to priorities your tasks during busy and challenging periods.

Qualifications (recommended)

Relevant technical education Bachelor/MSc (e.g. marine- or mechanical engineering or similar)

MANDATORY : GWO offshore training incl. working at heights course and Confined space training + OGUK Medical Certificate incl. Chester Step-up Test+ HUET, CA-EBS and X-BR
Preferably 2-5 years experience in role with equivalent set of skills
HUET certificat
Decision authority:

Can recommend technical solutions to meet the load specifications

Can include key stakeholders across organisation, including local site representatives and externals

Basic PPE to be provided by the consultant
