We are looking for a talented Senior Geophysicist with proven project management experience for our offshore windfarm projects and/or urban development/infrastructure market.
You will play a key role in our iconic projects and work together with fellow geophysicists, geologists, and geotechnical engineers in shaping the future.

JOIN OUR TEAM
The Geology and Geophysics section resides in the Wind Energy and Renewables department. The department consist of 125 dedicated colleagues situated in Denmark, Germany, Norway, and Taiwan, while collaborating closely with energy and marine colleagues in the United Kingdom and North America.

You will join a dynamic team of around 20 passionate geologists and geophysicist who contributes to the green transition through offshore wind, solar energy, geothermal and storage projects as well as ensuring the sustainable development of our urban areas and infrastructure.

We are part of COWI's major business line - International and work in a highly international environment with projects all over the world from offices in Denmark, Germany, Norway, UK, North America, Middle East, and South East Asia.

DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
As a Senior Geophysicist and Project Manager you will participate in and lead COWI projects applying your knowledge to the benefit of our clients and their projects.
Activities typically include successful coordination of development or improvement activities assigned to COWI such as:

Scoping of site investigations and together with the team and provide expert advice on the best course of action.
Managing procurement work and ITT processes
Managing survey and permit works
Working as an integrated part of the Clients organisation
Planning for survey execution including scheduling, preparation of project documentation, preparation of budgets, facilitate preparation of HSEQ documentation and identifying and implementing development activities bringing value to the project.
Reporting and communication
Processing, interpreting and/or conducting quality assurance of geophysical data
Convey results internally and externally
Liaison with external and internal clients

Furthermore:
You have documented experience in near surface applied geophysics.
You hold a relevant educational background combined with 5 - 10+ years of professional experience in sectors relevant for offshore wind and/or urban development.
You are experienced in onshore and/or offshore shallow geophysical methods
You have a commercial mind-set and proven project management and contract experience.
We value strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to effectively communicate and build relations at all levels, both internally and externally with people of any nationality
You thrive with complex tasks, have a structured and analytical approach to your assignment, an eye for details while at the same time being able to keep a broad overview
You are cooperative and a dedicated team player yet also able to work independently
Your diplomatic skills and honesty are requirements in a multi-cultural organization with high ethical standards
You possess excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
Knowledge of Scandinavian culture and language skills will be an advantage
Background from Consultancy is a strong advantage
