We are looking for a qualified Senior Mechanical Engineer, preferably with experience in the offshore and marine industry to strengthen our team in Kristiansand/Arendal.
Main tasks and responsibilities:Responsible in designing and modifying equipment from existing product portfolios and developing new concepts, solutions and standardization of products
Responsible for delivering design on budgeted cost, time and quality
Be proactive and take a lead role in projects
Provide necessary documentation
Participate in both tender/concept and project phase
Work closely with the other engineering disciplines
What you’ll need to succeed:M.Sc./B.Sc. in Engineering
Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education
5-10 years of relevant experience is preferred, but graduates are also encouraged to apply
Experience with Offshore standards (DNV, ABS, CCS, BV etc)
Relevant software experience (Autodesk(Inventor/Vault), SAP, etc) is an advantage
Inter disiplin understanding
Strong interpersonal and team-working skills
Ability to plan and manage workload effectively
Fluent in both written and spoken English
