Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other renewable activities such as solar PV and batteries. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our solar PV and battery operations further

We are looking for a SCADA Engineer to support on daily operation of Vattenfall’s wind asset, to secure that Vattenfall gain competitive advantages in operation of existing wind farms SCADA systems and ensure of data integration and operation of future wind farms.

As one of the key functions in Vattenfall’s wind business the SCADA Operations and Integration department is to ensure the maintenance and operation of SCADA and Control systems throughout the lifetime of the asset, when handed over for operation.

Purpose of your potential role
Your main responsibility as SCADA Engineer will be implementation, support and daily operation of control and automation systems, interfaces and data exchanges for SCADA systems in the field for turbine and electrical systems. This include several operational tasks, including troubleshooting of system failures.
Your technical background will preferably include some of following working experience:OPC UA, IEC 61400-25, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5 (101, 104) communication protocolsTurbines SCADA-system such as Vestas VOB or Siemens WPSHands-on experience with WinCC OA or other substation control system such as ABB-MicroSCADA or Siemens-SICAMFamiliarized with wind turbine technology, PLC technology and operations of automation systems

Your essential qualifications
For this position we are seeking a person with degree within Engineering or documented similar long-time experiences. Preferable you have gained 3 years’ experience with SCADA systems within the Wind or Energy Sector.

Also, you bring the following qualifications:Have a degree in electrical engineering or similar.Experience as automation engineer within SCADA.
Have knowledge of operational processes
Have a systematic and focused approach to your daily tasksSee documentation as a natural and integrated part of the workHave flexible approach to travel and offshore workWill fulfil the requirement to have GWO certificationAre ready to participate in a limited 24/7 “on call” support

Location
The location will be preferably based in Vattenfall office Kolding Denmark, however our other location Amsterdam Netherland, Hexham or London UK or Poland can be optional. But it is expected that your will be present at the Kolding office 40% of the time.
