The position is based in Esbjerg, Denmark.As part of VIKING Global IT headed by VIKING’s Senior Digital Director, SAP Build is responsible for the development and maintenance of SAP-supported business processes. You will report to the Sr. Digital Director and be a part of the Digital Management Team.Primary tasks and responsibilitiesAs the SAP Build Manager, you must be fully up to date with new trends and procedures in business processes, as well as developments within the SAP R3 and S/4 platforms.VIKING has been running a global SAP R3 setup since 2005 covering all main business areas, including finance, manufacturing, service, sales and distribution.The initial SAP ECC installation has recently been enhanced using cloud-based solutions such as SAP Ariba and SAP Success Factors. We are now embarking on the journey to simplify these activities, redesigning our business processes and transitioning from the SAP R3 platform to SAP S/4 HANA.The SAP Build manager will play a central role in this transition, taking responsibility for the seamless operation of SAP-enabled processes throughout the entire value chain. Key tasks will include:Participation in the development of VIKING’s digital strategyPeople management, coaching and supporting the teamDeveloping and securing the skills and capabilities of the SAP Build team,preparing it for the S/4 transitionDeveloping and supporting business processes within SAP ECCEnsuring that SAP processes are consistent & harmonized across global business processesEnsuring the quality of deliverables across the SAP Build TeamParticipating in or managing various implementation/roll-out projectsImplementing and securing the foundation of new processes including testing, documentation and user educationDepending on Covid-19 restrictions, you should expect 15-30 travel days globally per year.Who are you?The ideal candidate is an experienced people manager with a background in a similar position at a global manufacturing or consulting company using SAP.You have at least five years’ experience in developing SAP processes and cross module integration areas. You are used to collaborating with developers and understand key concepts such as table structures and user exits/enhancements. You also have written functional specifications for developers.In your career you have already successfully implemented larger SAP projects with many stakeholders and you are comfortable aligning the various demands and possibilities of working within SAP. You have a good overview of business processes in the broader context of business goals and requirements of a global organization.You can communicate freely at all organizational levels and are fully prepared to go the extra mile when deadlines are tight. You have a positive and results-oriented attitude, and thrive in a busy environment. You must be a team player. You will also need to be fluent in English, as well as Danish.You live in the Esbjerg area or the Triangle Region of Jutland.
