We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Project Manager to be located at our office in Vejle, Denmark. Come join our international team of approximately 20-25 Sales Project Managers spread across the globe, working in a matrix organization and being responsible for sales of several hundred-million-euro offshore wind turbine contracts to improve the climate and the lives for everybody on earth. How to contribute to our vision
As a Sales Project Manager in our market unit Offshore, you will have the overall responsibility for managing a sales project team during the sales phase. You will ensure that our offered solution packages meet customer tender requirements and you will subsequently negotiate the contractual terms of the turbine supply agreements with our customers.
You will facilitate much coordination and strive to reach optimized solution packages and agreements based on liaison with both internal project members and customers alike. This includes overall responsibility for timely, competitive and compliant submission of tenders to customers, responsibility for project planning, reporting, following up and responsibility for adherence to Siemens Gamesa’s sales processes.
You will be influencing, motivating, supporting and developing a high performing sales project team and create a frame for success in a highly paced and very professional environment. In relation to this, you will be setting clear targets for team members, tracking progress and ensure timely delivery. You will facilitate interdisciplinary cooperation, understand customer requirements and develop bid/negotiation strategies, ensuring that customer requirements are reflected in both costing and planning.
You will verify that risks are fully assessed and approved by Offshore Management and ensure successful handover to Project Management upon contract signature.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for leading the change are important. We are also looking for a person with experience from international large-scale project management and/or sales projects, preferably from the energy or entrepreneurial sector.
Furthermore, you have previous experience with and have managed complex sales projects with multicultural teams and with highly professional customers. You possess deep project and people management skills and the ability to motivate and engage team members.
You have experience with multi-contracting in large projects and an appreciation of how contracts are structured and interrelated. Preferably you would also have technical understanding and an appreciation of project finance and contractual conditions in wind power projects, although the latter is not a necessity.
