To meet the challenges in selling our advanced propulsion systems for the future, we are looking for a highly motivated and customer-oriented Sales Manager to join our Propulsion & Engine Offshore sale team, with a desire to work in a dynamic and international environment.
In this role you will take an active part in the sales processes as a member of a highly professional sales team. You will have dedicated sales responsibility for driving Sales of products within the Offshore Propulsion & Engine segment and play an important role in developing our sales activities in the fast-growing Offshore Wind segment. To maximize customer satisfaction and customer opportunities, you will work closely with product divisions and our global sales organization.
To succeed in this role, we think you should have a solid understanding of the machinery and propulsion equipment, combined with a strong commercial interest.
Key accountabilities
Create and maintain customer relations
Preparation of quotations and manage contract negotiations
Develop sales and customer strategies for our products and solutions
Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
Coordinate customer activities with sales resources within KONGSBERG
Order intake budget, prognosis short and long term
Projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
Arranging to attend industry conferences and events
Train and develop local and regional sales personnelQualifications and experience
Sales Manager with proven capability to handle large complex sales as a player in a capture team
Strong knowledge within mechanical products, preferable with propulsion
Ability to consistently close deals through efficient negotiations and good understanding of commercial terms
Bachelor Degree within engineering
Experience in the Maritime or Oil & Gas industries
Fluent English written and orally

Focus on bottom-line results, identify potential risks and monitor the financial impact of own activities
Make an impact, convince and persuade others and promote plans and ideas successfully
Build a useful network of contacts and relationships and utilizes it to achieve set goals

Co-operate well with others, share knowledge, experience, information and support others in the pursuit of team goals
