Description

Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investments? If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is the perfect place for you! We are currently looking for an ambitious Risk Officer to join our Risk team in Copenhagen.
Risk Management
Risk Managements main objective is to protect CIP, and our funds’ investors against unnecessary risks, associated with all aspects of CIPs business model. Being a global greenfield developer of infrastructure assets, we acknowledge that risk is an inherent part of our day-to-day operation but to remain a leader in this space we work diligently on identifying, measuring, managing, and monitoring risks to ensure that our investors can continue to entrust us with the responsibility of financing the global transition to net zero. The Risk Management team is a part of the second line of defence.
The role is centred around the CIP management companies and investment funds. You are expected to keep an extensive overview of CIP’s core functions, products, and processes to ensure that CIP’s risk policy is adhered to.
Your primary tasks will consist of:
Participate in, and potentially manage, the development of our core risk areas (market, credit, liquidity, operational or sustainability) from where you will act as a trusted advisor to colleagues across the organisation
Assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of our quarterly risk reports
Provide input in relation to risk on new fund activities, such as the acquisition of new assets, hedging and divestments
Help maintain and evolve, our current stress-testing framework
Ensure that CIP continues to evolve through actively challenging the status quo
The successful candidate
We are looking for a candidate holding a relevant master’s degree, e.g. in Finance or Economics, with at least three years of experience, either from a Risk Management function or from an internal Audit function. You are capable of challenging ideas and concepts, even if you agree with them – and you can provide professional, holistic advice to improve a concept that you do not agree with. You are an advanced user of both Excel and PowerPoint and preferably have experience with data handling, utilizing tools such as SQL or Python.
Building Value That Matters
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners is a fund management company, regulated by the Danish FSA, founded in 2012, which currently has eight funds and more than EUR 16 billion under management. CIP’s current investments include a wide range of energy infrastructure assets including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar PV, biomass and energy from waste, transmission, distribution, and other energy assets like reserve capacity and storage.
A career at CIP means you will have the opportunity to develop and utilise new skills, explore interesting fields and do challenging work that will impact the lives of people around the world. At CIP, we are empowering people to innovate and invest in a better and greener future.
With employees in Europe, North America Asia-Pacific, CIP is a global business. A role in the team will expose you to a dynamic working environment and the opportunity to contribute to high-profile transactions whilst working in a business with the best people in the industry.
