New Energy Solutions (NES) Business Area shall deliver a safe and profitable renewable business. NES aims to do this with the support of Equinor’ s oil and gas competence, project delivery capabilities and ability to integrate technological solutions. NES consist of the following business clusters: North Sea (NOS), East Coast US (USE), Emerging markets (EMR), Renewables Solutions (RES), Power and Markets (POM), Business Development (BD).

Onshore renewable energy business development.Job Description- Take leading role in identifying new investment opportunities in Brazil, with focus on solar and onshore wind investments;

Lead projects and teams during assessment and execution of transaction agreements, with activities including due diligence, commercial negotiations and management approval discussions;
Spearhead development of renewable energy projects towards successful financial closing decisions by coordinating maturation of permits, route to market, construction solution and funding;
Develop solutions by collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders representing several discipline areas such as electrical grid, renewable technology, energy sales and trading, project economics, EPC management, legal, tax, compliance, regulatory, and strategy.Qualifications- 10-15 years of experience in power markets utility-scale renewable energy project (business development, project development, equity investments, commercial negotiations);
Relevant transactional experience, with a track record in closing deals and relationship management;
Deep understanding of the power business, including regulatory dynamics and business drivers in the Brazilian free market (ACL);
Fluent in both English and Portuguese languages, written and spoken;

Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.Personal Qualities- Independent thinking with a solution oriented mindset;
