Kongsberg Maritime is now looking for R&D Engineers to join our Embedded System team. The position is in our central technology department designing underwater acoustic systems. Your coworkers are leading experts in acoustics, electronics, signal processing and embedded design, passionate about their work and ready to share their knowledge.
We want your expertise to broaden our skilled FPGA team.
We work on implementing processing algorithms, designing drivers for HW sensors, communication protocols and APIs. We like to focus and optimize on good design practice, performance, and low power. We use modern SOCs, FPGAs and microcontrollers from several vendors.Key accountabilities
FPGA programming – VHDL
Develop testbenches
System integration and test
Qualifications and experience
Educated as Master or equivalent
Passionate programmer
Extensive knowledge of FPGAs
Fluency in English and Norwegian, both verbal and in writing
You are able to
Use a methodical and systematic approach, plan ahead, define clear priorities and allocate resources effectively
produce fresh and imaginative ideas and solutions
communicate in a clear, precise and structured way
analyze complex issues and problems and come up with rational judgments
