Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Project Engineer within Safety Automation Software Engineering. In this role as a Software Project Engineer, you will be a part of the Safety department within Oil & Gas division in Kongsberg Maritime AS, delivering Emergency Shut Down (ESD), Process Shut Down (PSD) and Fire & Gas Detection (F&G) control and monitoring.
You will be part of a team with highly skilled engineers with focus on delivering world class systems on time, cost and quality. As part of the role you will implement new software, onshore/offshore or in commissioning, using AIM as the configuration tool. We are now looking for a new member to the team who wants to work in a hectic and demanding environment.
Key accountabilities
Engineering and Software configuration of Safety systems
Participate in delivery projects and collaborate in integrated teams with engineering project partners and customers
Implementation of new Software configuration onshore/offshore or commissioning
Participations in various kinds of projects, from large new build projects to minor MMO projects on producing installations offshore
Testing and verification of the installed applications
Travelling onshore and offshore may be required
Qualifications and experience
Engineering degree (MSc, BSc or equivalent) within professions as computerized control systems, electronics or Software programming
Experience with AIM or other relevant control systems
Knowledge of Safety Automation system is an advantage
Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, written and spoken
You are able to
