For our Offshore Technology department in Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for an assistant PM to support project and portfolio management activities.
You will be joining a larger project core team where you assist project managers in the planning and coordination of the project, help with administrative tasks, and independently manage some project elements. Besides you will be involved in improving our tools and ways of working. You will have your own areas and tasks of responsibility, which you plan and execute in close coordination with the team, your colleagues, and stakeholders across the organization.
How to contribute to our vision
The assistant project manager's responsibilities can include for example monitoring project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delay of project phases, participate in scheduling meetings, and maintaining project documents and reports. The exact mix of responsibilities will depend on the competence mix and profiles of the project team, why the assistant project manager is expected to be flexible and versatile, and capable of driving certain elements of the project.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for someone who can foster trust and cooperation at all layers of the organization and can tackle even difficult situations with a constructive and positive attitude. You are a team player and a natural networker with the ability to work with many different stakeholders within a complex business. It is natural for you to keep a holistic overview, without missing out on the important details and the people involved.
To be successful as an assistant project manager you should be able to perform any tasks assigned in an efficient and timely manner. You can work both independently and as part of the team and use your overview to help identify and resolve issues promptly. Furthermore, you:
Have a degree or gained experience in another way.
Have previous experience with project management or a similar role – preferably in an engineering organization.
Are an experienced IT user, proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software – experience with JIRA and Meisterplan would be a benefit.
Pay attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Possess strong communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
