In this role, you will be in charge of delivering Finnish maritime industry's spearhead products in ABB Oy Marine & Ports Division in Vuosaari, Helsinki. As Production Manager, you have overall responsibility of safe, high quality and on-time production process and operational efficiency of two Azipod® electric propulsion system product factories in Vuosaari and Hamina.

You will manage a large team of strong professionals and work closely together with engineering, procurement and project management. Being the driving force for factories' continuous improvement and operational management, your tasks will also include development of production operations with high focus on safety, quality and efficient ways of working. Management and development of component inspections and logistic operations are also under your responsibility. Strong ownership and hands-on attitude are highly valued in our team!

This position reports to Manager, Marine Propulsion.

Your responsibilities:Ensuring safe working environment in both factoriesEnsuring that production organization is professionally led, organized, staffed and skilledDriving on-time and high quality deliveriesDemonstrating your own example and engaging the whole organization's continuous improvement in safety, quality and cost efficiencyOverseeing production progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation actions

Your background:Over 10 years' work experience with minimum 5 years as line managerSolid track record on delivering results safely against targetsExperience on modern heavy-weight productionMature leadership capabilities with collaborative, solution-focused approachExcellent spoken and written communication skills both in Finnish and EnglishExperience in logistics and inspection processes is considered as an advantageTechnical education; B.Sc. or M.Sc.
