We are now hiring a Product Cost Manger that will be driving cost management initiatives for the future offshore turbines. In this role your will work across all business units and organizations within Siemens Gamesa.
How to contribute to our vision
As Product Cost Manger you will focusing on driving the initiatives for the design-to-cost and cost-out from a platform perspective. A key aspect for this role will also be to keep the overview of product costs and the competitiveness of the costs whilst also cooperating across the departments. In this role you will be driving the definition of cost-out opportunities together with the ongoing R&D programs and Module Cost Managers. This role has a fundamental role in supporting R&D modules in handling and maturing cost-out measures, second sourcing activities, and further to support new product development and release programs in cost target setting/planning, cost breakdown, and tracking. You will also be ensuring traceability and transparency of components and product costs by preparing and facilitating re-occurring “Cost Review Meetings” for senior management and likewise to be specialist on the floor. An additional important aspect will be to focus on continued development of Product Cost Management between the Onshore and Offshore collaborative parties to strengthen the area. To be able to accomplish this you will need to have a deep understanding of the interfaces between the various departments.
Additional tasks:
New Product Development and release cost target setting & planning
Responsible of driving product cost from a product perspective
Support modules in handling and maturing cost out measures
Tracking product and component costs
Collect & assemble new cost-out measures in collaboration with relevant departments
Cost status and reporting
Facilitate and support cost out workshops
Cost target breakdown
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work on a cross-functional level and understand business dynamics within an organization. We expect you to have several years of experience within for example Procurement, PPM or similar areas. Preferable a technical and commercial background. Educational background we can imagine that you come from various areas – technical, engineering, business related topics.

As a person you are an independent, driven, and proactive person who can bring on new initiatives or change where required. Since this role will be working closely across the whole business, you need to be a great communicator with good stakeholder management skills. You are someone that isn’t new to a complex organization and will thrive in providing new solutions. To truly thrive in this role, it’s expected to have successfully implemented change in companies before.
You should be fluent in English, having Danish as well would be an added plus.
