The Ocean Science team is part of the Underwater Acoustics group in the Sensor and Robotics division of Kongsberg Maritime. We are responsible for a range of market leading underwater acoustic products used by world leading scientists across the globe. Our products include advanced echo sounders and ADCP’s and our solutions are used for a variety of applications such as fish stock assessment, biological and oceanographic studies, environmental monitoring and many more.
To serve our customers and making sure we have the best products for every application, we are looking for a Product Advisor to join our team. The job purpose for a Product Advisor is to become a “guru” on our products to be able to provide advanced support and maintenance of our existing products and contribute in developing new world-class products.Key responsibilities
Support our customers by solving problems and recommending solutionsSystem testing and troubleshootingAssist in developing test proceduresMaintain product documentation and assist with Life-Cycle ManagementCommunicate and assist internal production as well as sub-suppliersCollaborate with the entire organization in making new world-class products
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics or similarNewly educated as well as experienced applicants are encouraged to applyA good problem solver that in time will become a “guru” of our productsSystematic and accurateStructured, analytical with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsCurious and interested in scientific products and applicationsService mindedFluent English and Norwegian languageCross-disciplinary knowledge in electronics, mechanics, mechatronics and software is an advantageSome travel activity will be expected
