You will be part of Svitzer Europe Procurement team, who are a group of engaged and driven individuals located around Europe with Regional Procurement manager located in Copenhagen.

The position will allow the successful candidate to develop competences within procurement, build stakeholder management skills as well as operate under time pressure.

You will be part of a truly international organisation constantly striving for improving the total costs of ownership of all our assets.

Workplace is Svitzer Europe Head office at Esplanaden in Copenhagen. Limited travel within Europe may be expected.

Key responsibilities

The key task is to ensure that the tug boats have everything they need for their operation. What this means on practice are several things:

Procure-to-pay process ( process Purchase Requisitions for the UK, conduct RFQs, determine suppliers, place Purchase orders, ensure the goods are delivered and receipted and the invoices get paid)
Comply with global and regional frame agreements
Support the operations under time pressure
Conduct minor category management/ sourcing activities, etc.

We are looking for

• Experience in Procurement (similar buyer roles)

• Eagerness to learn, not being afraid of complexity and ambiguity

• Experience in maritime industry is a plus

• Knowledge of Sertica system or Dynamics 365 is a plus

• Ability to work under pressure

• Fluency in verbal and written English (Danish is not a requirement)

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to build connections with the stakeholders

• Strong independent drive to progress Procure to Pay tasks for your area and achieve success in your role
