THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Strategic Procurement Manager is main responsible for a team of around 10 people developing and implementing procurement strategies for all business lines including the areas of procurement activities, contracts, negotiations and strategically selecting suppliers that are of importance to the organization. The position provides professional leadership, support and expertise across the organization to secure quality, cost efficiency and on time deliveries. Main areas in this role will be:
Responsible for running and developing a team where creating engagement is key to ensure success.
Responsible for the drafting, reviewing, negotiating, finalizing, and managing agreements with third parties (sponsors & vendors) for all necessary types of agreements.
Follow and implement department processes to maintain transparency to the review/negotiation process for internal stakeholders and track status of current contracts from opportunity to closeout in the CRM tool.
Cooperate with internal stakeholders and departments to effectively address legal and business questions and provide guidance as well as practical solutions.
Identify and communicate potential risks related to legal and business decisions together with internal parties to secure value contribution.
Advise and support internal stakeholders regarding contract terms and conditions, applicable policies and procedures, as well as best practices to advance business objectives.
Assist with the development of policies and procedures and SOPs that standardize and streamline the internal contracting process, including developing and updating contract templates and standard provisions.
Responsible for KPI´s and other activities to ensure fulfilment of targets and results.
Accomplish change management to implement new routines and processes.
The position will require travelling to some extent.

Our client has a modern office located in Gothenburg with good connections to public transportation. They operate internationally, and the role can also include some business travel to suppliers/manufacturers and shipyards in Asia and Europe. We will start our selection process immediately and please make sure to submit your CV in English.

The assignment will start as soon as possible and is estimated for long term, at least for 6 months. Initially you will be employed by TNG but we also looking for you who are interested in working as an interim consultant.

As an employed consultant by TNG, of course you are covered by collective agreements, insurance, and wellness grants.
WHO ARE YOU?
University degree in Supply chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent education or experience.
Extensive experience from commercial negotiating and/or vendor contracts.
A few years of experience of leading and being responsible for negotiating, contracting and securing quality assurance for deliveries (preferably with world leading companies).
Previous experience in leading and managing teams.
Previous business experience from maritime, process or other applicable industry.
Working knowledge of relevant business systems needed to support contract and procurement management activities, SAP preferred.
Track record demonstrating ability to work collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams.
Ability to review, analyse and assess risk, as well as summarize findings for standard and non-standard contractual agreements.
Understanding of risk reduction strategies to make sustainable arguments during negotiations or issue resolution.
To manage this position, you feel comfortable in both your professional competence and leading skills. With your great expertise and your approach of being humble, you build trust and engagement, both in your team and with other stakeholders.

As a person, you also have the ability to meet business-driven deadlines and commitments while maintaining a high level of quality in your work. You have good negotiation skills and understanding of the negotiation process.
