For our Technical Project Management and Logistic team we are looking for a committed and motivated Packaging Engineer to ensure we can execute our growing project pipeline. You will be part of a global team of 18 dedicated project managers and specialists working on New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Plant Projects (NPP) within Offshore Operation Nacelles. Your main focus will be on creating and maintaining packaging specifications for Nacelle components to ensure right inbound flow of components.

 

The position is based in Brande with focus on Nacelle projects mostly outside Denmark.

 

 

What are my responsibilities?

Our logistic function is ensuring the inbound logistic from suppliers to our warehouse and until the component is delivered in the production by ensuring the packaging and storage of components, warehouse size and setup, needed equipment and logistic flow of materials and finally the IT setup.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create and maintain packaging specifications for nacelle components to ensure right inbound flow of components.
  • Participate in PDP/NPI projects
  • Keep track of assigned deliverables and budget
  • Verify design concepts and production basis from suppliers to ensure that forms, fittings, functions, quality and safety meet standards and legislation
  • Shop floor support in the installation and start of production phase
  • Actively participate in process improvements within the department’s area of responsibility
  • Optimize packaging and transportation of Nacelle components to reduce transportation costs and handling time.

 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

 

We also expect you to hold a degree in engineering, production technology, logistics (especially packaging material) or similar.

 

We also expect you to have

  • Advanced experience in CAD (AutoCAD, NX or similar software)
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing, preferably from the wind industry or with heavy components.
  • Experience in Engineering Change Management and documentation development

 

As Siemens Gamesa is a global company you should be comfortable working in an international, multi-cultural team and capable of working effectively across department boundaries in a large organization.

 

As a person you are open-minded and proactive with a quality-oriented and structured approach and have the ability to work both independently as well as in teams and have a flair for effective communication.

 

You possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing.

A knowledge of Danish is a plus but not required.
