ICEYE is building and operating its own commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

We launched the world’s first small SAR satellite in January 2018. To date, ICEYE has successfully launched a total of 10 SAR satellite missions and has raised $152M in financing. We don’t plan to stop - join our team and let’s achieve great things together!

To support the growth of the company, we are looking for an Operations Support/ Analyst Intern to join our team in Finland.
The role:

Your key responsibilities are to support documentation and configuration management of our Operational tools and processes. The immediate need is to better document and make readily available constellation capabilities so that our Sales and Contract delivery teams can easily and quickly respond to customer requests regarding our current and future capabilities.

As part of the Operations System Engineering team, you will work closely with teams from the Spacecraft Engineering, Contract Delivery, and Satellite Operations to identify requirements, document processes, and build visualizations using tools such as STK, python GIS libraries, and visualization tools.
What you will do:
Improve processes and contribute to the existing documentation Use STK, python, and related tools to generate Satellite access opportunities and related metrics Support efforts to improve processes, documentation, and automation of tools related to Operations Support efforts to create configurations and related documentations for various Production assets, such as Satellites, Satellite sensors, Ground Stations, and Antennas
What you need to succeed:
Experienced with practical GIS applications, studies, or degree in Geographic Information Systems is preferred Basic understanding of orbital mechanics and satellite systems Python for geospatial data analysis, SQL, javascript, HTML Basic geospatial and analytics knowledge about using coordinate systems, interpolation methods, and other techniques for geospatial analysis
