ICEYE is building and operating its own commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

We launched the world’s first small SAR satellite in January 2018. To date, ICEYE has successfully launched a total of 10 SAR satellite missions and has raised $152M in financing. We don’t plan to stop - join our team and let’s achieve great things together!

To support the growth of the company, we are looking for an Operations Quality Lead to join our Operations System Engineering Team in Espoo, Finland.
The role:

The Operations System Engineering team is responsible for the processes and management of the overall operations of ICEYE’s production systems. This includes facilitating change management, gap analysis, bug triaging, analysis and prioritization. The team is at the hub of ICEYE’s daily operations, working in a cross-team capacity continuously improving the reliability of ICEYE’s systems both on the ground, as well as in space.

As the Operations Quality Lead, you will work closely with the 24/7 Customer and Satellite Operations, Contract Delivery and Product Owners from Engineering to ensure high reliability of our end-2-end system as well as facilitate proper system scaling to support business growth. This Lead will also work closely with our corporate Quality Leadership to ensure our Quality Management System is lean and being applied in a way that produces dependable services.
What you will do:
Owning the Operations Quality Control Processes and being accountable for delivering Customer Products according to Product Specifications Together with the Operations team, improve and adapt the Product Quality Control Processes to evolve with the new Products and Systems ICEYE is releasing Facilitate and help analyze and prioritize the resolution of known system issues together with the Product Owners for continuous improvement of system reliability Triaging, escalation, and reporting quality metrics and system issues for the purpose of reducing system downtime as well as targeting new opportunities to further refine quality standards and processes. Contribute to, or coordinate, test campaigns for new products and features such as creating/executing testing scenarios and/or reliability monitoring
What you need to succeed:
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail Excellent command of English and very good communication skills Accountability, dependability, responsiveness, and quality focus Good understanding of Software Development, Orbital Mechanics and Geographic Information Systems
Desirable attributes:
Great educational background, preferably in a relevant field of engineering, remote sensing, or geographical information systems. Familiarity with:

Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001 User Testing and Quality Control Synthetic Aperture Radar or Earth Observation imagery experience Reviewing Quality of Deployment
